The German Wirehaired Pointer has a beard and whiskers. The strong slender neck is connected to the wide, deep chest. The muzzle is long and robust.The eyes are dark and the teeth meet in a scissors bite. The ears are pendent and hangs down. The tail is docked. |

This breed is loyal, affectionate, stable temperament and intelligent however they can be stubborn. They are good with children and other house hold animals. German Wirehaired Pointer makes great hunting dogs and watchdogs. |

The color is liver & white, spotted, roan or ticked. Sometimes an individual will be solid liver. The nose should be dark brown. The head and ears should be brown, sometimes with a white blaze. |
