Working Dogs

As is clear from their name, Working Dogs are strong and are bred to perform a range of activities, from guarding property, livestock, and people to pulling carts. Smart and fearless, these dogs may be fun-loving or serious. Working dogs are loyal to their pet parents and have a willingness to please. Intelligent and quick to learn, they make solid companions. However, they can be overprotective if they don’t have the right training. They require a firm, consistent training by an expert that can train them without resorting to anger or force. Right training and positive human interaction are essential to this breed of dogs by virtue of their size. While some of these dogs have lots of thick fur and are mountain breeds, a majority of them have smooth, easy-care coats. Some of the working dog breeds are moderately to highly active.
